12 Things on Sale You’ll Actually Want to Buy: From Vans to Theragun

Good news for Prime members: I found a lot of great deals in the clearance section at Amazon, from Strategist-approved hair trimmers to pool floaties and mosquito-repelling wristbands. While those savings make up most of today’s sales mishmash, you’ll also find some adorable kids’ clothing (and something for adults) from Primary’s summer sale, as well as a pair of classic Vans slip-ons from Nordstrom’s Half-Yearly sale.

These DEET-free bug-repellent bracelets are infused with a mix of essential oils — geraniol, lemongrass, and citronella, specifically — that are actually effective at keeping mosquitos at bay. Each one lasts about ten days and looks “like a hair tie and smells like a picnic in the park,” according to Strategist senior writer Liza Corsillo.

This all-in-one shaving kit features the Philips Norelco 3800, which is one of our favorite rotary electric razors. The pivoting heads can be used both wet and dry, and it boasts a 60-minute battery life akin to much more expensive models.

Meridian The Trimmer
From $50
From $50

And for nether-regions trimming, we recommend this sleek tool from Meridian. It’s cordless, waterproof, ergonomically designed, and has a 90-minute battery life as well as four blade guards to achieve your desired length.

Casper Dog Bed
From $111

Casper’s machine-washable, durable, and dog-approved pet bed comes in three neutral colorways — blue, gray and beige — and three sizes. Every combination of those is at least 10 percent off, but you’ll save the most money if you buy it in gray in either small (now 29 percent off) or large (now 44 percent off).

$17

We also spotted this sophisticated night light from Casper in the clearance bin.

A Nerf-equipped floatie ring for pool battles of epic proportions.

This is relatively niche, but if you’ve been looking for a good doggie door that’ll let your dog out but keep the air-conditioned air in, this is it.

Theragun’s NBA-approved muscle massager would make an excellent gift for dads with an achy back (which, to be honest, is most dads).

Nordstrom’s Half-Yearly sale is almost over, but I did spot these classic Vans for 30 percent off in a classic royal blue.

Primary, the adorable kids’-clothing brand behind many of our favorite colorful and gender neutral kids’ clothes, just added a ton of summer duds to its clearance section. Here’s a stripey rainbow tee available in kids’ sizes 2 through 14 …

… And a very similar version that’s available in adult sizes extra-small through extra-extra large.

The brand’s swimsuits come with a high UPF rating. A long-sleeve rash guard (that’s available in eight bright colors) will keep your baby sunburn-free and quite stylish.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
